A Love Letter To Yourself
1.Use your name.
2.Own your struggles.
3.Paint the vision of your future.
Dearest ,
Let me start by saying it’s kind of a miracle you stuck with me!
For so much of our life, I didn’t love you. It’s
just us, so I can be honest, because if you looked at how I treated you from the outside, I hated us.
What else would make me deprive you of healthy food, sleep, and seem to intentionally pick friendships and relationships that abused and abandoned us??
And all that was before we even finished college.
Because I love you and I want you to trust me, I can admit that
things didn’t get better.
What I got better at, was putting our feelings aside. Making sure everyone else’s needs were met before ours.
What I got better at, was making us so useful using our Alpha rescuing skills plus so apparently “need free”, that I could regularly attract people, (but not healthy people).
We were an exceptional athlete and it took me
over 40 years to realize that I was only loving you when you were performing.
We were an exceptional friend. And it took me so many years to realize that I sacrificed you for my “friends”, always.
I didn’t do enough work to heal myself of these deep wounds that weren’t your fault.
So I turned us into poor receivers, who expected to
always put on her superwoman cape and save the day without help.
But slowly… Slowly… I began to see.
I began to grow and own my wounds and our need for healing.
I owned my lack of trust and the need for forgiveness.
I attracted situations that seemed beyond bearing, but I began to LEARN from them, instead of just repeat them.
I love you and I’m so sorry. I’m really proud of who you are and who you’ve become.
I’ve done the work to find inner peace for us now so that we’re safe no matter what, no matter who.
I am so proud
that you modeled unconditional love and not abandoning me, when I was busy abandoning us.
I am so proud that now I know what we’re worth and my decisions come from that wealthy place.
I am so very proud of the woman that we have become. I’m proud to be on your team! I feel loved from the inside out and I’ve learned that that is everything.
As Within,
So Without.
It’s like watching the best Hallmark movie EVER, by watching the OUTSIDE of our lives change to reflect the love and peace INSIDE.
If ever you are lonely. If ever you are afraid.
If ever you need someone - you call me. You call me first. And last.
I will always be there for us.
Until you draw your last breath, I will be your best friend and closest love.
I will model how we are to be loved evermore.
Tearful with Gratitude,
Tanya Stewart Dyer, Esq.

Then you know you went deep enough.
No one can love you until YOU love you and show them how it’s done.
