It’s the 4th of July as I write this.
The Universe woke me up last night with this topic.

Freedom for all Alphas!
I Declare My Independence
from Aggravation.
I am Free to Stay Calm.
You know that I was in Australia for last 4.5 years. I arrived back to the States, in Texas, for an extended visit with my parents.
I have been deprived of a good black hair salon for almost 5 yrs! I chopped off my chemically
straightened hair a few years back and went natural. Ha! Natural black hair is STILL lots of work.
But I know how to plan! In the midst of many preparations for my return, I located a highly rated black natural hair salon near my fathers home in Frisco, north of
Dallas.
My birthday is this Thursday! I turn…50!
The only appointment open was on the
4th of July. I took it.
Can you see where this is going? Lol.
Yes. I confirmed.
Yes. I had paid an $80 DEPOSIT.
Yes. I left voicemail and text messages the day
before.
And STILL. when I arrived…crickets.
Shop was empty and closed. No
response.
I
had a choice. I could (and you can to) CHOOSE to let yourself take the path of least resistance, straight into Aggravation OR you can decline.
I DECLINED.
I thanked my stepmom for driving me all the way up there. I apologized to her for the shop’s mistake. Probably they forgot to block the holiday and automatic scheduler, scheduled me.
I then sent all the appropriate text messages, emails, voicemails, and Instagram messages. And then… I surrendered to God.
God was aware how excited I was about this hair appointment and
that my birthday was coming up. The Universe knew how long it has been since a professional helped me with my hair.
That means… But I didn’t have to do anything! I didn’t need to yell at anybody or rant and rave about it, or let it ruin the rest of my holiday.
I had declared my Independence from that Aggravation.
They say the Lord works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform. When I called my husband back in Australia, he was ready to compliment my new hairdo!
When I explained what happened, he gave me an idea that I, Alpha, had
missed! To attempt to rebook using the same system, but for tomorrow.
Because I hadn’t seen other appointments available weeks ago, I hadn’t thought of that! I was able to rebook, but not with the owner, who I had paid extra to get
before.
My Darling husband, then said something spiritually brilliant:
“Obviously, she
wasn’t meant to do your hair
and probably it’s the other woman.”
Welllllll…shoot that’s
profound!
Turns out I was easily able to rebook with the assistant.
And now feel safe.
I sent him this image showing I’d booked and paid the assistant’s (cheaper) deposit. (Yes, if you are counting that's
almost $150 in DEPOSITS!)
He said:
“It’s a sign. Look at her name.
Parish. -> Parishioner.”
Mike drop. (Literally. His name IS Mike).
Moral of the story?
Life sent me an opportunity to choose independence from
Aggravation.
As a bonus, my husband got to flex some spiritual chops and really support me.
Feeling Aggravation really is a Choice.
