We hate it. Capital H HATE Feeling Disappointed.

Why? Because when you feel disappointed,

it meant that you trusted something or

let yourself expect something.

The Worst is when you are disappointed by somebody you love.

Declare My Independence from Disappointment.

I am Free to Trust Imperfect People.

“Wait! Tanya, did you just suggest that I trust IMPERFECT people?!”

Well… Yeah. I did.

Why would I do such an outlandish thing?

Because there aren’t any perfect people.

Think about that for a moment.

There aren’t any people that are practically perfect in every way (Mary Poppins excepted).

So that means… We are all in the business of trusting,

imperfect people every single day.

The way you Declare your Independence from Disappointment is to be honest with yourself about the players in this game.

Everybody has the drunk uncle, crazy cousin, or abusive aunt, somewhere in the family, right?

If you lent this person your car, you would pretty much expect it to come back at a minimum out of gas or not at all.

There would be NO DISAPPOINTMENT in that.

You had FREED yourself from disappointment by simply deciding to not rely upon the performance of sketchy relatives.

So how about you just extend that?

Here is a very valuable piece of advice, most people can be trusted for SOME things… The trick is to know the things you can trust them for and don’t trust them for any other things!

You can trust, imperfect people

so long as you don’t trust them in their weakest area.

When you stop trusting, imperfect people in their weakest area, you can Declare Yourself FREE from Disappointment.

So you don’t trust the alcoholic to not drink at the party, that’s their weakest area.

Teenager who skips school, to stay home alone while you travel for work? Nope.

“Best friend” who is kind of jealous, with your brand new business dream? Not even a little bit.

Declare your Independence from preventable Disappointment.

Trust Imperfect People only with their STRENGTHS.

“What about uncontrollable disappointments?”

The answer is in the description. As Alphas, we HATE (Capital H again), things we cannot control.

But listen to me my beautiful girl, you WANT to focus on learning to

stop RESISTING the unresistible.

Stop setting yourself up. And when a whammy hits, roll with it ladies.

Declare your FREEDOM FROM DISAPPOINTMENT.

You can thank me later :-).

P.S. I’m sitting in the Emergency Room with my dad, who has lots of health conditions. It’s been a 5 am problems began til 2:30 ER arrival and 8 pm haven’t seen the doctor yet kind of day.

Disappointed?
No. I could not control or prevent this. Came here to help with this.

Tired? Yes.
Ready to glare? Yep.
Also writing my blog and handling another separate family legal crisis simultaneously? All that.

Disappointed. No.

I have prayed my dad through this. They are releasing him tonight. And my stepmom gave my dinner to a homeless guy, so I’m HANGRY but not disappointed in my out of control day.

I have Declared my Independence from Disappointment. I’m good.
