Perfecting a Perpetual Task is A Waste of Time
There are so many things that will ALWAYS need doing. Laundry and inner growth being two of those things. You will never be able to wash your underwear SOO clean that you don’t have to wash it again!
Anything that is ongoing should not have perfection as a goal. That means stop struggling and relax your control. It will all come out in the wash. (Sorry, but that really was an epic pun!)
What are you pushing against in trying to get this “load” just right? Are you trying to win it all, when there are countless other cycles to go? Relationships and marriages fall victim to this desire.
It can be tempting to want your relationship to be “perfect” or even “ok” right NOW. I promise there are soo many opportunities coming, more cycles, that you don’t have to win THIS one or EVERY one for it to come out okay.
There will be stains. There will be that new red t-shirt in with your whites. Someone may put your leggings in a dryer (which can thankfully, never ever happen to me again! See, another line-drying advantage.) You cannot even keep your clothes perfect, so why are you trying to hold your children, marriage, business, employees or weight
to that standard?
Maybe you’ve already released you struggles over laundry? Good. Then apply that release to your emotional, spiritual and financial growth. These areas are things that will always need “doing”, so give yourself a break. Be lighter about it.
