(Well maybe one masochist in North Dakota or something...).
Here is my advice (lean in...it's simple, critical and not easy).
Stop Freaking Lying to YOURSELF.
Not to him! Not to her! Not to your mate or kids.
(You'll want my help for those.)
Just YOU.
Just get in the shower or bath or take that long walk and tell the truth to you.
Do YOU feel hurt?
Do YOU feel alone when you are sitting right next to him?
Are you feeling hopeless when you used to have BIG drive?
Are you struggling to go through the motions?
Are you lying to your kids?
(I'll have to do a month on this one, the damage from you hiding your true feelings is catastrophic).
Just. Tell. Yourself. The. Truth.
End the Self-Deception of your relationships.
That includes how your Mom makes you feel.
And...
Your boss.
Your biggest client.
Your employees.
Your lover.
Your spouse.
Your "best friend".
It makes a difference. Start there.
You do NOT need to know HOW to fix it (I do.)
You do NOT need to know WHEN to speak up (I do.)
You do NOT need to know WHY you feel bad (I do.)
Just tell yourself the truth love. It's Step 1.
