Let me tell you WHAT a Vision gives you so you'll be sold on WHY you want one. A Strong Vision:

VISIONS PULL
Things go wrong. 2020. Just pick a left turn you DIDN'T see coming! See my point? Things go sideways sometimes.
Visions PULL you toward your goal. They GIVE you motivation and reason to continue forward despite the obstacles tossed onto your pathway.
We all need something pulling us to work against our tendency to slow down, stop and get stuck. A Vision for your marriage operates in the same way.
It's the pull to let go of "being right" when it makes soo much more sense to go for being "happy" in the moment.
Ever seen those reality shows featuring tow truck drivers rescuing cars and big trucks? Know how they usually do that? They PULL, not push. You want something bigger than you PULLING you forward.
VISIONS ATTRACT
Visions also pull another way. They PULL IN resources you need.
That is called ATTRACTION.
When you build a clear, strong vision, whatever you need to make it happen is more attracted to you.
That may be a partner if you are single, venture capital if you are an entrepreneur or your husband having a receptive, listening moment when you desperately need to speak to him.
One practical reason Visions Attract is because you become clearer on what resources you NEED to move the ball forward. That clarity makes it way easier for your mind to spot it, your mouth to request it and others to see exactly how they can help you.
Spiritual Reason? Create a Vision that expands love, life or good in some way and the Universe is on your side! It WANTS you to have what you need.
I used to hear from religious folks that God hates divorce. He. Does. NOT. (God doesn't hate).
God LOVES healthy marriages. Healthy relationships. Healthy businesses serving needs. If your Vision is to build something healthy and helpful and beautiful, you will be supplied.
VISIONS FOCUS
Ahh but life is distracting. So are bills, fights, children, health issues, politics and about a dozen other things that "need" your attention.
You need a New Vision because Visions FOCUS YOU. When the Vision is clear, it is very easy to see which things are "distractions" and which are necessary.
Maybe your Vision is to publish your book (finally) and help women around the world. If you need to hire an editor to get your book published, the annual "bail your sister out loan" to secure her family's Christmas is a DISTRACTION.
