Maybe it is more ACCURATE to say forgiveness takes “PATIENCE” rather than PRACTICE.

When I speak to most of you about FORGIVENESS, your parents always come up (usually your mom). 

You tell me that you’ve “already FORGIVEN her” and I give a little smile.

Forgiveness of deep wounds  takes layers. You forgive what you can and then later, more comes up to FORGIVE.  

So DON'T  try to forgive EVERYTHING in one BIG moment.

Not only will it NOT WORK (because it DOESN’T work that way) but you set  yourself up for DISAPPOINTMENT.  You create yet another reason   to pick on yourself.

  Big hurts and wounds are FORGIVEN in many layers, released over time.
